So long 2009, Hello 2010

Hey guys, been a while. How were your christmas/new year’s celebrations? Haha, hope they went swell. I spent the turn of the year being sick. But that still didn’t stop the fun! Finally the day has come whereby another year ends and another begins. 2009 is gone and 2010 has arrived.  2009 was filled with many thrills and spills, twists and turns and could be one of the most memorable turn of decades.

There was the H1N1 pandemic which shook the world, the struggles to survive the global financial crisis, the first black president to be sworned into office in America, Iran’s continued defiance, the death of Michael Jackson, both the APEC and Copenhagen summits. The list continues. Which of these events has touched you in any way?

For me, 2009 was pretty much a year to forget. Mostly because it was largely spent in the army. Something which wrecked many other things for me. But fret not, 2010 is here and im getting out in Feb haha 🙂

Resolutions, resolutions, resolutions. Most of us make them and fail to keep them. Some of us make resolutions to keep our resolutions. But with every new year, i find it good to make one, something to steer me in the direction for the year. For me, my resolution is "Auld acquaintance be forgot". To forget the past and all the unpleasant things which has plagued it, and finally moving forward. Never bringing to mind anything from the past. 

2010 will be a great year and a start to a great decade ahead for me. Its the decade of my 20s! Probably the most enjoyable one of my life. Army will be gone and I can finally continue my life again after being in a standstill for almost 2 years. So long to the bane of my life. To chase the dream, to live the life and enjoy the love! A new and refreshing start is always good, to move forward with the experience from past mistakes is always rewarding in its own right.

So, what about you? what does 2010 offer? Be it good or bad, i’ll share something with you guys.

Each day’s a gift and not a given right. Leave no stone unturned, leave all your fears behind you. And try to take the path less travelled. The first step is always the hardest. But pick up that courage and take the longest stride forward. The world awaits and its yours for the taking. Claim a stake. What’s worth the price is always worth the fight. Don’t give up. Nobody said it was going to be easy. Every second counts because there are no second tries. So live like you’re never living twice. Call those friends you never see. Forgive your enemies. Find that one you are dreaming of. Its never too late to shoot for the stars, regardless of who and what you are. So do whatever it takes, cause you cant rewind any moment spent in this life. Let nothing stand in your way and make your mark, because the hands of time are never on your side. And finally, say goodbye to yesterday and 2009.

Goodbye 2009.

Come on 2010, I’m more than ready for you.
