– What is your favorite quote?

"things always change"  said by anyone that has any sense in their pocket.  i say it all the time.
it keeps me aware that you might have to "lean to cope" at anytime.  the ability to lean takes practice and needs monitoring.

"one thing is certain.  a cannibal eats flowers, to drive away the taste."  annonymous
it reminds me that we do what we do, towards an end.  some of it might be what i want to be doing.  i try to make it as easy as i can to get the that end.

or, depending on the day or the time of day:…….

"be calm, carry on."  some uk person….
i guess is carries over to whatever the day is or what time of day it is.  if i can keep from freaking out, i can find a coping mechanismn.

keith went to the doctor for the first time in quite a few years.  he had a good physical except for that part where they have found him type ii diabetic, early stage.  i have been pestering him about a booboo on his leg that was not healing fast eneough to suit me.  everything else seems like it’s in good shape.
he picked up a glucose monitor and some oral medications yesterday on the way home from his appointment.  he told me while he was talking with his doctor he told him, "this should tickle my wife, she is trying to get me to eat better."  he and the doctor laughed about it.

i aked him if he was ready to try tofu again.
he stopped laughing.  bwahahahah.  seriously, i am going to introduce him to agave nectar to replace sugar.  i also keep stevia around the house…. no more soda or full of sugar coffee creamer.  between keith’s low sugar diet and my low salt diet and dustin’s low protien/fat diet, we are going to eat weird around here.  i think it’s called healthy.

Sounds to me like it is going to be a no flavor diet! ha ha Sorry Keith is diabetic but glad he caught it early. I just can’t believe some people never go to the Dr. Yuck on tofu. Be easy on the guy! LOL The fiery sun will come crashing down if I’m ever a diabetic. I’ll get really skinny b/c I just won’t eat.

I started eating ‘weird’ last August. It isn’t tasteless, I lost 45 lbs, have been told I look 10 years younger, feel better than I have in years and will never go back to sugar, fat and soda pop!

I am type 2 diabetic and syllable est tasty food. Some things taste better without the sugar once you get used to it. ~ Hugs ~

greywolf b. was around 14 years ago on od. i remember. and now why do you think i need to ask him for advice? you mean well, i am sure, but greywolf is on the east coast and that is a different environment.

ahhh. i understand your good intentions. thank you. when i am divested of a home furniture china cookery and paintings worth over 10k i will keep it in mind. *grins* that g/wolf can tell me how to live on the road..*grins* i love you jule.

not your fault g/wolf does not meet my needs. see, he never owned a house. my issue is with my house and its contents. i can handle the road and the camping stuff. it is the house and extremely expensive/valuable paintings that concerns me.
