and then, there are grat-ees

i sold seven pieces of jewelry from my shop in one day. ( etsy.com/people/rubyjule )
i am certain it was from dumping a link to my shop onto facebook each and every time i listed a new item.
i listed a lot of new jewelry this past week.  all that i have made since the last time i did it.
well, not allllll of it.  this time i have kept some of it for me.

one of my sweetest friends bought one similar to it.
they are very much alike in color.  i named her bracelet pecan pie.  mine is her little brother-bracelet.

she also bought this green one.  i love this bracelet.  it comes with a story.  i know she will see it here.

when i learned this new bead-weave last month, i was making an inventory of my blingy beads for the holidays.  i wanted to make presents for me…. and for other people, to give…. i saw the green beads again.  i gathered them all up and put them in a little zippy-bag and finished my chores.
when i got done with the crystals, i grabbed my new little zippy-bag full of big fat crystals and started looking at other greens and colors that look good with all the separate greens i had in my hand.
i also joined freecycle galveston last week.  i have been organizing my bedroom.  i am trying to create a statement of bliss in there.  (so far, so good)  i have a much cleaner closet out of the deal, at any rate.  and i have a new sitting space next to a tabletop of pretty green marble.
anyway…. i found lots of buttons from my closet i was saving because they are wonderful in their way and i thought i would use them on shirts that i never made.  i grabbed one of those buttons and smiled at the way it played with the other colors in the bracelet idea i had going on.
this is all of it coming together.  i was a little worried that the crystals were just going to show up as too big to use for anything……  clown-crystals, that would never get to be used at all.  just little tiny-assed paperweights in my bead box.

i was smiling and delighted that they looked so very cool.
i really thought i might keep this one for myself, but i had JUST decided to keep the other one instead.  and i know how to make this one….it makes me very happy to know that people i admire like my stuff.

I love your stuff and I especially love hearing the back story and imagining your smiles as the idea grows!

Now it will be REALLY special 🙂 I’ve really been into green lately the muted olive-y type and when I saw this I decided I need it. I have a bunch of stuff that is broken or I won’t ever wear again. I will send it to you if you’ll send me your address. It may be after the holidays but I will get it too you. If you can use it – great. If not throw it away. I’m excited to get my new rubyjule collection! love you, Susan
