blink and you’ll miss it…

We sure do live in an ‘instant society’. Now we have Tourism for the Time Deprived. Everytime I remember this, I laugh.

Last time I was living in Korea, I drove to a nearby city to go shopping, and I passed a bus with this sign along the side of it:

“Suncheon High Speed Sightseeing”

I laugh and imagine the following commentary:

“Welcome to Suncheon Ladies and Gentlemen. On your left, you’ll find the famous temple of..  well, we just passed it. Oh, up ahead is the magical garden of … umm did you see it? To your left, now, is… oh, on your right you’ll see.. it’s back there.. can you see it? Oh, look up ahead.. umm, missed it. Okay, and we’re done! Please exit the bus in an orderly fashion, and thank you for travelling with us and seeing the lovely sights of Suncheon.”

High Speed Sightseeing.

Ahh.. Korea! Gotta love it.
