Scary Sunday!!!

Yesterday was pretty normal for a "holiday" type weekend; take the dogs out to play, run some errands, go see the in-laws for a bit, come back and make special supper for the 3 of us then it all fell apart. Tara, my husband’s beloved Golden Retriever had a major seizure! She’s been in excellent health especially for a 10 yr old dog so the cause is a mystery. We immediately rushed her to the emergency vet and left without knowing what was going on. The vet called us a few hours later to say the test results showed nothing unusual including x-rays of ab and lungs. No signs of cancer or anything obvious. She will be observed until later this afternoon when they do more blood work and she’ll probably come home today.

Hubby is beside himself today, having to go in to work with no one to sub for him for the day. Neither one of got much sleep last night and we’re both worried about Tara. I did stop by the vet to do a face-to-face check in with the clinic after I dropped Buddy off at school. I told the tech that the only changes we could think of is we took the dogs to a different park in the morning and maybe there was something chemical on the grass that isn’t at the other park. We’re grasping at straws trying to figure this out.
