Road Rage
I swear I take my life in my hands every time I get behind the wheel. I’m a good driver, no accidents that have been my fault, ever and only one ever ticket that was sited incorrectly.
This morning was so typical of driving in this city. I was in the right lane, next to the turn lane. A larger (BA) truck came roaring up on me in order to get in the turn lane before the light changed. I saw my life flash before my eyes as my little car trembled from almost getting hit while sitting still! I was less than 2 feet from a full sized Caddy in front of me so I would have been smushed! Stupid BA truck!!! I was literally shaking and the funny part is there was a cop car in the opposite side of the intersection and would have witnessed the whole thing.
The next one is just plain stupidity at it’s best; people who think they can break the law because they’re "special". I pulled in to the bank and was getting my deposit ready to walk up to the ATM. Just as I was opening my door, another BA truck pulled into the handicap spot next to me, he jumps out of his truck and leaves it running while he does his transaction. I slam my door shut as he does his transaction and he looks up at me, looking bleary eyed. As soon as he’s back in his truck, I jump out and start yelling, "Handicapped my ass! Mentally handicapped!!!" I did note his license plate was not a handicapped plate!
Way too often people merge into my lane way too close to me and it makes me very nervous. Sure, I drive a little car but it is bright red! I usually drive with lights on in the early morning hours when I’m out to drive my son to school. I shouldn’t be invisible but yet, people act that way all the time. If it wasn’t for my quick reflexes I would literally be run over sometimes! I watch out for a***oles behind the wheel all the time because I’m a good defensive driver. If it weren’t for being constantly on alert, I would have been in many many accidents over the years. All I can say is "Wake up stupid!!! Drive like you’re paying attention!!!"
