Pleasing aroma.

Tonight I got to hang out with a girl named Challie. Her hair is short, like someone recovering from cancer, and she looks like Christina Ricci.

We talked about God. For an hour and a half. I met her, truly, on Monday. There’s a natural affection between us, we click, and our first time hanging out we really became closer.

She’s moving in a few days. I didn’t want to date her, though she is pretty and very talented. I just really enjoyed being around her. I really liked her, as a friend.

It was an interesting goodbye, since it was our first time talking, and probably our last time we’ll ever see each other. We hugged, a long while. She laughed. “What’re you laughing about?”

“Nothing, just it was a good hug.”

“If you wanna hang out before you go in the next few days, you’re welcome to call me.” She smiled. “I know.”

“Goodbye!” I said. “Bye.” And we drove away from that place.

I feel like God completely wanted us to talk about him tonight. He wanted us to spend time hanging out and disagreeing and still liking each other as people. I feel like God put that friendship there, for the both of us, even if it only lasted for a day.

Thank God for God, thank God for friends, thank you father for your plans. Thanks for creating (and loving) Challie. Thanks for allowing me to see her as you do.

Your son, Jonathan
