The fairy stops here
Ella had her first visit from the tooth fairy this week! It wasn’t totally unexpected since for the last couple of weeks it’s been loose and the new tooth was already coming in behind the baby one which just seemed weird to me. In fact it was weird enough that we took Ella to the dentist to check it out and they assured us it was perfectly normal and happens all the time.
Well back to Ella actually losing the tooth, she was so excited, in fact she was more excited and jumping around than she was on Christmas Eve. I swear getting her to sleep was darn near impossible, sorry Santa but you rank below the Tooth Fairy in this house. At least as far as the resident 5 year old is concerned.
Anyway after the whole battle to get her to sleep, Cindi slipped in and did fairy duty, leaving a dollar and book. Books are always a gift in our house for Ella, both of us love to read and feel it’s very important to share with Ella. A little while later I’m sleeping and Ella comes in and wakes me up all excited that the Tooth Fairy had visited and just could not contain herself.
It really was great to see her so excited, granted I could have done without getting woken up but still it was great to see. So one tooth gone and one more almost ready to go and then a bunch more to follow.
Well got to go, have a great day!
aww, that is so sweet! I remember losing my first tooth – I literally lost it on our WHITE tile floor and had to go searching. I wailed and cried until I found it. lol Thanks for sharing this, it was nice to remember my first lost tooth! What book did you give Ella?

Awwwwww!!!! Gianna is one of the few in her class that hasn’t lost any teeth yet. None are even loose yet and she’s so sad about it.

Thanks for the encouragement…I really appreciated that. I liked the entry, too. Our granddaughter turned 5 today, and she hasn’t lost her first tooth yet. Loved the way you tell the story of Ella’s….. Nice meeting you, and maybe we’ll see each other around this year….take care, and thanks again, Michael

Hi…I saw a note you left on one of my friend’s diaries and thought I’d pay you a visit. I cried when my son lost his first tooth and like Ella, he was pretty excited. Aren’t they cute about it?

That is so cute! I didn’t get to do that with Jaden. I left him a half dollar and when he got up he looked at me skeptically and asked if I left it there instead of the tooth fairy. Sigh.
