Dropped the ball

I sit here today writing disappointed in myself and only having myself to blame.  Back in October or November I really started to get serious about losing some of the extra pounds that I’ve put on over the last few years and I was doing good.  By early December I was down 15 or so pounds and was starting to look better and feel better.

Then some how I dropped the ball and now find myself with all those pounds, but luckily no additional ones, back on.  It would be so easy to rationalize as just the fact that in the weeks leading up the Christmas my work schedule was nuts.  No one ever said that working retail was easy and that’s the month that really is the whole year.

But that’s just an excuse and I know that I could have done better and not fell back into bad habits.  Plus it doesn’t excuse the last 2 months of not getting back on track.  So now I am rededicating myself to the program.  The diet is going back to the basics that worked and that means no late night stops at Wawa or drive thrus.  It means at least  2 days a week breakfast is a protein shake then oatmeal or eggs the other days.

I would ask of you to help me by asking how I’m doing if I don’t mention it at least once a week.

Well off to work, have a great day.

Good luck! I need to get back on track myself – I put on all the weight I lost and then some.

At least you are aware and are working on fixing it! I will try to remind you! 🙂

Hey you know, judging from all of the snow you have been having, it would be really hard to get out and walk or run. Doesn’t the winter also mean that you have shorter daylight hours than summer too? I know it is harder for me to cycle in winter because the sun has gone down by 5:30PM. At least you have not gained any more than your pre – October weight. Just get back into it again, don’t blame yourself and keep moving forward 🙂 Take care!
