Call home

We upgraded our phones, and while the iphone was tempting we really didn’t want to go through the hassle of changing carriers, so we stayed with Verizon and got the Palm Pre. I’ve only had it for about 12 hours so I really don’t have firm feel for it yet but so far I like it and I’ve had a Palm before and liked it so this should work out.

One thing we did get that I just think is neat is the touchstone charger. No need to plug the phone in, just set it down on the charger and it works. Why something like that isn’t standard with everything is what I want to know. Just give me nice and easy and idiot proof.

In other news my Mom completed moving into her apartment the other day and of course even that created problems. First off she didn’t even do simple things like fill out the change of address with the post office. That left me to do it since I don’t feel like running her mail down to her all the time. The stupid post office tried to encourage me to do it online but they want to charge a fee for doing it that way. Now granted it was only a dollar but still I’m not paying for something that I can do for free at the post office.

The second issue of that Mom left her room a mess, the trash can was filled, the dirty sheets still on bed, and the room just needing a general dusting and vacuuming.  Now granted I realize my Mom was never the greatest housekeeper but even this was a new low.  To the degree it irritated me it was much more with Cindi and I really didn’t know what to say about it.

One other phone thought, a couple of us at work were talking and I think I’m the last person in the world who has never been sent a dirty picture as a text or e-mail.  Now granted a large part of that is that I’ve been married for really the whole time the tech has existed but still I’m a healthy normal male so I would love to get a little pic or two.
