Tuesday Morning

I had a Doctor Lobus appointment yesterday. He is my neurologist. Billie, my case manager, picked me up around nine. We got up there in time for my appointment.  The appointment itself went well. I lost seven pounds. I was down to 279. Blood pressure and everything checked out good.  Nurse asked  about my meds. There was some confusion about this one pill B-12 . She thought Dr Cower prescribed that. It was Dr Lobus who put me on it. She also asked about the seizure. I said i haven’t had any seizures but I get dizzy spells. Then she asked if I had been hospitalized or had any operations. I said no. Doctor came in. He did a good examination. He said I was doing good. Oh I also got him to write out a script for Keppra.

Billie dropped a bombshell on me yesterday. She  will not be working for  Healthways. I didn’t ask why and she didn’t tell me. I wondered about the 3rd., I said I need a ride to the bank, Wal Mart and Gumby’s I think she said that is her last day. She will try to work it out. Aas it is I do not know if i will have a ride today or not. I asked if I will be getting a new case manager. She said yes but she didn’t know who.  I remember the last time she quit. I wasn’t assigned a case manager at all until she came back. I kept thinking

After the appointment I wanted to stop at Wal Mart to get a case of Sprite. I heard the news and I suddenly got very depressed. I got down about everything. I kept thinking to myself I am losing a case manager. I cannot get a worker. I didn’t feel like going to Wal Mart. I kept wondering how I will get to my appointments. I kept wondering how I am going to get to Gumby’s for cigars. i instantly got very depressed and decided to go straight home.

i called Anne when i got home. She came right up . Told her about the news. She was in good spirits yesterday. Monday was a Neurontin day. She tried to sooth my feelings. i told her I was really depressed about everything. On top of everything else my apartment was a mess. Anne got right to work. She washed towels She cleaned up the kitchen. The place looked a hundred percent better. I love this woman. I could not thank her enough

We had a long talk about her conditions. She cycles between flying high and crashing. When she takes Neurontin she is flying.   She has so many Neurontin left . She said she has enough to get her through next month. She also said that the new med is not helping at all Otherwise why does she cycle. Why does she crash when she doesn’t take her Neurontin. Also she is getting a lot of bad side effects from this new med. She said she has enough Neurontin to last until next month. She was telling me that she is worried and once those pills are gone she will bottom out and end up in a psych ward.

I was thinking the same thing. I tried to sooth her fears. I said maybe the new med might kick in. by then. They told her that she will not see the effects of it for about a month. Maybe by the time she is out of Neurontin she will stabilize I also said maybe the nurse will gradually increase the dose of the new med. Then I strongly suggested that she see a psychiatrist. I said she can still go to Healthways to see her therapist. She brought that up as well. She said maybe I should see a psychiatrist  instead of that nurse practitioner  I said this is what I wanted yo;u to do all along. Her one friend sees  a psych doctor and she gets her Neurontin. She said she will ask her his name and phone number. I hope she gets there before it is too late.

A lot of shit has been on my mind. I have another doctor’s appointment. Today I go to the Wound center. I hope they remove the b andages from my legs. I hope those ulcers are healed up., appointment is at 9:30 this morning. Billie is picking me up at 9:10
