R.I.P. Jenne

I still have not adjusted to oobi’s passing. It is such a shock that Jenne died. I didn’t get to say goodbye but then I guess nobody did. I had no idea her illness was life threatening, I just assumed she would get of hospital and life would resume.

Given most of my entries here were only read by Jenne and most were addressed to her I will have to work out who it is I am writing to in the future. I guess I am just writing for my own notes now instead of sharing with anyone.

This year’s anniversary dinner was at Donovans in St Kilda. It was good but not as great as last year’s.

Clara said she wanted to play me chess on the internet so I joined chess on facebook. It has been fun playing random people on blitz games but Clara is too busy for a while to play me. We have organised that I will play sometime in the future on a Monday morning which will be her Sunday night. She also said she didn’t give a toss about space travel when I asked her about the end of the shuttle which is funny given she works for NASA.

I have had Jimi Hendrix songs playing all day on the work computer. I am not sure if it is good for productivity but it sure is fun. The inspiration to start the Jimi playlist was that I want to title my paintings with Hendrix songs for the show at the Dog’s Bar, which is on September 18. So I am swapping up between track names:

Voodoo Child
Crosstown Traffic
Purple Haze – which is kind of obvious for the purple canvas
Manic Depression
All Along the Watchtower
Long, Hot Summer Night
Castles Made of Sand
The Wind Cries Mary

I only need eight but others might be:

Highway Chile
Bold as Love
Are You Experienced
Little Wing
Hey Joe
Burning of the Midnight Lamp
