Quick Time
Quick Time or Quicktime, I think I have called it both at different times, sold on bluethumb.com.au on Sunday night. It went for a meagre $600, of which I see $420, so it was a bargain for the lucky purchaser. I think it was a beauty and if one was going to sell it was going to be that one. It had a very nice colour scheme of black and orange over blue greys and there was a pleasing uniformity in application. I picked the painting up from Mies where it was on display along with two others the same size and dropped off Lance Lloyd I think to replace it. Andrew very kindly wrapped it for me with cardboard and bubble wrap surplus from moulding deliveries. The package get picks up tomorrow by the courier and is going to Richmond. I have the purchasers name and address and phone number and I am tempted after I get payment to contact him to say there are plenty more paintings to inspect in the garage.
Some smaller ones that I started over a year ago are nearing completion. I don’t remember how long ago I started them, I guess if could be 18 months now. Three look finished. I owe Richard two paintings, I might see if he wants these recently completed ones.
There are lots of small paintings in boxes in the garage too but now they look a bit less interesting than the latest ones – that always seems to happen.
I had another session with Adam yesterday. As we can’t get Claudia to attend he recommended relationship counselling with another counsellor for us both and that we investigate some of the issues that we have talked about without Claudia. Yesterday he said I should give voice to my anger if I wanted to be passionate. Or something like that. He was intrigued that I equate anger with irrationality. Rationally I concede that anger is a valid reaction to appropriate circumstances, I just think that if you act in anger you are like to do irrational actions. I don’t think I am angry or resentful most of the time. The only times I can think of being angry recently are when we argue and I get exasperated.
