bbq at Tony and Joes’s
Claudia’s friend Robert was home from the UK so Tony and Joe organised a barbecue at their place in Preston. There was an array of people I had not seen in five years (or ever) including Robert’s off again partner Nigel and Trevor and Lisa, and Matt and Lisa, and Ant and Linda, Geena, Digby, and sundry offspring. It was a fine evening.
Christmas is looming fast. I am looking forward to drawing for a few days with the cricket on. I am not so enthused about Christmas shopping. I don’t know what I will get for the aunts, perhaps some token chocolates? Still it will be nice to see everyone especially with Anna and Clara in town.
I ordered some Kutcha Edwards cds in the post. I wanted to send one to Anna for her birthday but they have not arrived so she will not get it in time. Dad managed to run his car off his drive in his haste to get to the post office before closing to send Anna a package. In pulling the car out of the ditch they managed to run over a water pipe that cost $150 to get repaired. His decision making has gone to pot. He also said he started to clean up the house but got an allergic reaction to the dust.
I think I want to organize a winter barbecue. ^_^
