Australia Day 2012

Lovely day with Peter and Jennifer and Angus. We had a barbecue and a drink and a chat. The weather was kind. Peter walked up from the punt and saw my new paintings at Mies, which I only put up on Monday. After some consideration Paul and I decided to put a price for the paintings on the wall and I went for $450. It is a meagre sum but maybe they will sell at that price. I can always put the price up to something more commensurate with the quality if they start selling. Paul is not asking for any commission at this stage. He has been saying for a while how happy he is with the quality of the work and how it has generated the most positive comments of any art work he has shown. All I need now are some sales!

I bought some new canvases last Monday. Pete is keen to have a group show, maybe at the Dogs Bar which now apparently runs for two weeks a show. I have been adding more layers to the A4 sized small canvases. At times they look quite good but then a dodgy layer of red or blue will undo the work. My solution is to keep plugging away!
