plans

Since it’s been a while, I thought I could possibly think of something to write about in here.  Nothing too exciting going on in my life.  Just preparing myself to start school again on Wednesday.  I hope and pray that my kidlets won’t be too wound up from the holiday break.  I went to my classroom yesterday cuz I had nothing better to do and because I needed to go.  I rearranged slightly and got a little more organized.  Really, I should go again today, but I don’t want to.  Kory is working so it’s not like I’m abandoning him.  Right now I just feel like I don’t know what to do.  I have my curriculum map for the whole year, the problem is planning.  I am so used to having actual lesson plans to follow (from student teaching and such) that now I feel so lost because I don’t HAVE to have any written, hard copy plans.  I just have to have an objective of what I want my kids to learn and how my lesson will play out.  If I were to make lesson plans, for the whole day EVERY DAY, I think I would kill myself and never want to teach again!  I think I’m just being super hard on myself.  I have such a wide range of students and abilities in my classroom that it is hard to plan for all of them and help ALL of them make a year’s worth of progress.  One exciting thing though is that the kids get to learn map skills this month.  For some reason I am SUPER excited about it!  My only problem is finding books that I can read to them that will hep me teach those skills.  I have found maybe one or two, but that’s about it! *sigh*

Okay, I’ll stop complaining now.

That’s about all that’s happening.

Love,

Good luck!! My siblings are off to school tomorrow, since the break is over. I’m sure the rest of your year will be sensational!!

I totally know what you mean with the U and BYU. I’d honestly pick neither, I’m not ready for Utah again. Maybe ever, I don’t know. But yeah. . . Good luck with the map skills! That should be super fun! Hugs,

I am really stoked! I love Joseph Smith, and I’m really excited to learn more about him and his teachings! I’m teaching my 12 and 13 year olds from the “Preparing for Exaltation” manual, and it’s pretty great. Hugs,

Yeah, they’re amazing! How’s your term going so far, teaching maps and stuff? Hugs,
