First Days of School
Again, not much to write about. The beginning of school is coming faster than I want it to. Tomorrow, I’ll get paid from summer school and be able to hopefully finish getting things I need for my classroom. I’ve been reading this totally amazing book called The First Days of School by Harry Wong and it has calmed me and made me more nervous at the same time. The pressure to have a productive and successful, well-managed classroom is strong. I know that if I implement the thing that Wong outlines in his book that my year will be successful, but it seems slightly overwhelming. I just have to be brave and have faith!
Seka and I are going swimming tonight. I am soooooooooooo excited. I love the water! We’re going to this water park in Provo that’s like $3 per person. There are two water slides and a big swimming pool and a kid pool. It’s totally worth the three bucks.
Anyway, that’s about all. Goin’ swimming now!
Love,
me
Where is that? It totally sounds like fun!

ryn: Paul’s not a fan of roller coasters, either, but he does like Indiana Jones, and Matterhorn, and even Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. But he can’t handle Space Mountain. 😉

FUN!! I love swimming. I’ve only been once this summer. How sad is that? Ditto on the working hard. You don’t want to make yourself sick or something before school even starts! Hugs,

Hi, Sorry I’ve not looked in for awhile, I was hoping for wedding details…how did it go? As for teaching, try reading Parker Palmer, Courage to Teach, also John Holts books on how children learn are very good! Good-luck!
