I thought this couldn’t happen to me; but sometimes I did give myself a reality check and told myself that it’s possible.  It happened last year and the year before.  Now it’s happened again and I’m not quite sure what tomorrow and Thursday will bring.

There was a terrible car crash in Provo Canyon Sunday.  Two kids were thrown from the car and killed (no seat belts)! I found out today that those kids went to my school for the first half of the year.  Around December-January, Daniel moved out of my class to another school.  Now he’s gone forever and I think that reality check is going to sink in at the viewing tomorrow and the funeral Thursday.  I think then I will realize what teaching really means to me.  I thought I wouldn’t have to do this…and if I did have to it wouldn’t be during my first year of teaching.  Boy was I wrong!
