you give me fever

In the past I have written mostly when there is something weighing heavily on my mind. There is nothing weighing heavily on my mind now. With the small exception of my job, I love my life right now (and lets be honest–who doesn’t hate their job?). So since nothing is on my mind, the next best thing to write about would be “so this is what happened today.” My life, while good, is uneventful. And it seems strange to just begin with whatever’s happened today when I’ve not written substantial entries in quite some time. But I know that the longer I go without writing, the harder it will be for me to begin again.

Since Valentine’s day was recent, I’ll begin with that. It was quiet. I actually had to work on Valentine’s day, and I was sick the entire day. When I came home though, Randy had a present for me 🙂 He gave me these gorgeous blue opal earrings. I didn’t get him anything really–earlier that day I had actually told him to postpone it a week, because then all the Valentine’s day stuff would be 50% off :-P. I’ve never been much of one to celebrate Valentine’s day anyway.

Friday I woke up with a fever, so I called off work. Saturday my boss told me I should stay home too… then last night I called in to find out if I should go in today, and they said no, I should stay home and recuperate because they would need me for the Monday holiday.

Tomorrow there’s no school because of President’s day. I’m getting sleepy.. well not so much sleepy as just… bleh. You know how it gets when you spend too much time in bed. I think I’m definitely ready to head out tomorrow again.
