Year In Review ’06

I did this last year and I liked the idea, so here we go again.

RulesTake the first sentence (or 2) from the first post of each month of 2005. That’s your year in review.

Jan 1– “and yet another new year”

This is the third new year since I began this diary back in 2003 (wow that sounds so long ago) So once again, almost a tradition now, New Year’s resolutions from last year and respective results:

Feb 1– “the cursor, it blinks [poem?]”

The cursor, it blinks.
It mocks me.

Mar 1– “Thanks, and an update”

You guys are all incredibly awesome. Thanks so much for all the notes of support, and the advice. Here’s a bit of an update.

Apr 3– “numb”

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder. I beg to differ.

May 1– “as if i needed an excuse”

I am now officially a moderator in the “College Life” forum on the OD boards! w00t! (I am going to have no life, aren’t I?) Ooh, I totally just heard that! you said I already don’t have a life >:O

June 1– “its electric”

It has been… so. freakin. hot. Today, I didn’t even leave my room at all. And last week when I was at home, it was so cold!

July 1– “[*]this looks funpart 2; +more answers”

Firstly, i need to write a real entry. I know. Shut up.

Aug 2– “the culmination of the affair”

“What is the most inopportune time you’ve been struck with an idea to write about?” some girl asked of Stephen King. He decided to pass on that question without giving a clear response.

Sept 4– “labor my ass!”(i actually wrote two entries that day, but the first one was FO, so i’m listing the public one)

So I wake up at a decent hour this morning, and shower and eat breakfast, all ready to be responsible and stuff.

Oct 2– “interview

So I finally decided yesterday that I was annoyed at not having recieved any info or phone calls on any of the jobs I applied for a month ago, so I sent out my application (online) to about 4 more places, plus the phon-a-thon again, since I kind of ignored the email the first time around (since it was my last choice for a job option–it pays really well at $9/hr, but I’m really not keen on the idea of calling alumni and asking them for money).

Nov 1– “[NoJoMo] 1: a loss for words”

Who, me? at a loss for words? Never. Ah, but ’tis true!

Dec 3– “ewww, ya nasty!” (first entry was actually [NoJoMo]conclusions, but that’s boring :-P)

I walked towards the bathroom, towels in hand. My sister stood at the sink, brushing her teeth. Looking at me, she teased “freak”.

ta-da and that is my year in review. The titles are clickable to be able to read the entire entry if you so desire.

You did? You tinkled? WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME?

December 13, 2006

Maybe it’s the Republican Shame that drives people to BDSM. Me, I’m just open with myself.

:: pouts :: I could not hear your toilet flush. You were sitting and urinating, and I did not know!

December 13, 2006

You will know when I pee, because my bathroom fan makes an inordinate amount of noise. Plus, I tend to put the phone near the stream for extra audiability. :: yawns :: GAH. I AM TIRED. I SWEAR, I DID GET SLEEP LAST NIGHT. Maybe I’m missing something in my diet.

Interesting idea. Cool, too.

December 13, 2006

I’m so going to try this.
