ugh! jerkface!

So he told me yesterday after I talked to him that he was still going to get me a present for Christmas because he didn’t want to be a total ass. Since I had already by that time made up my mind to get rid of the iPod, I went shopping today to find something for him in a MUCH lower price range. Well I found something just about perfect (in fact its what I would have gotten him to begin with if there hadn’t been this sudden craze with the expensive gifts). So I got it, brought it home, and called him to ask him when he wanted to do a gift exchange (because yesterday he said he’d stop by today). And lo and behold, he says “shit! i forgot to get your gift!” Further conversation with him also revealed that he also doesn’t even have money to buy me something because he’s using what little money he *does* have to buy his friend’s iPod (since I’m no longer giving him one). Ugh!! *breathes* You know, I could so be a total bitch to him, but i’m not. Why am I so infernally nice to people even when they obviously don’t deserve it???
I say it’s because I’m the bigger person, but ultimately I just get walked all over. And the longer this present sits here now, the less I’ll be able to let it go. I’m half tempted to drive over there right now and just give it to him. Hope he feels guilty for the way he’s treated me.
