the mall’s life lessons…

i went to the mall in towson today, and i learned a few things that i already kind of knew, but were reinforced today, so here goes…

  1. you can pay $78 for a sweatshirt as long as it says “Abercrombie” across the chest
  2. at Nordstrom’s, you will pay $69 for the same sweater that i bought last week at WalMart for $7
  3. apparently, there is no amount that is too much to charge for a spaghetti strap tank top that looks like it belongs at Victoria’s Secret (up to and including $120)
  4. if a sweatsuit says its from “couture” expect to pay over $200 for the pants and matching zip hoodie
  5. if a pair of flipflops is from a brand called “lacoste” then they can, and will, charge you $50 or more for them
  6. temptation is hard to resist, but a price tag that would drain over 10% of your checking account is a pretty good deterrent
  7. its OK to pay $49 for a pair of faded and ripped jeans, if they’re from hollister
  8. if walmart ever decided to sell designer labels at even half the price that they charge at the mall, then they could prolly put the rest of the world out of business

and believe it or not… there are actually people who will buy that stuff… i witnessed it *shakes head*… i am not ashamed to admit… i’m no rich sorority girl… and i live at walmart…. and even when i get older and hopefully rich, i will never pay those outrageous prices.. i dont care whothefuck designed it… some things are just outrageous…. oi vey

yeah, clothes are important to cover up with and to keep warm, but you grow out of them and they get dirty or something, so why spend so much money on one sweatshirt that will only last you for so long… peace*
