- What is your proudest moment thus far? [=Delivered=]
Honestly, I’m a rather modest person. Even things that sometimes I think I should be proud of, I make excuses as to why I don’t really deserve it, or what unfair advantages I had that helped me accomplish it. Sad, but true. However, I remember feeling this overwhelming feeling of accomplishment when I got a 5 (out of a possible 5) on the AP (Advanced Placement) Biology exam in high school. Yes, it seems like nothing now, but I know how proud I felt at that moment for being able to do that. And of course, I was very proud of myself when I was accepted to Hopkins BME program Early Decision, but some of what’s happened since then has tainted that little moment of accomplishment for me. - What do you secretly wish for that no one knows? [=Delivered=]
Well if anybody knew, it wouldn’t be a secret, now would it? I secretly wish that some young, handsome, wealthy man would come and whisk me away to see the world while I’m still young. I always have this plan of touring Europe after I graduate from college, but lets be realisitic. When I graduate, I’m going to have no money. Zip. Zilch. So I’m going to need to get a job. Any extra money I earn will go towards paying of my (many) college loans. I’ll keep working, and keep paying bills, and not get a chance to see the world. Then I’ll get married and have kids, and have even less time (or money) to take off for a world trip. By the time I do finally get a chance to go see the world, I’ll likely be in my 40s or 50s. Not terribly old by any means but still… Every time I think about the fact that I’ve never been out of this country, it makes me want to break down and cry. So now you know. - What does Happiness mean to you?[=Delivered=]
Happiness means…crying just often enough that you don’t take laughter for granted, and can truly revel in those moments when you are completely jubilant. - Who is your favorite author and why?[=Delivered=]
Anyone who knows me knows my favorite author is the King of Horror himself, Stephen King. Why? Can’t really say. I got my first Real Library Card when I was about 10 years old, and simply based on things I’d heard, I went straight for the King section. I checked out Pet Sematary and was instantly hooked. In hindsight, I can say objectively that Pet Sematary was actually one of his more badly-written works. Especially the movie version (which King himself wrote the screenplay for). But at 10 years old, I found it engaging, and for most of middle and high school, I never went anywhere (not even the pool, the park, grandma’s house, or school…) without one of King’s works close at hand. I’ve since made it one of my goals to read everything he’s ever written, regardless of the individual work’s acutal quality. Call it an obsession. Tommyknockers took me 5 tries to get through because of it’s gruelingly slow pace, but I didn’t give up on it. The fact that I’m going to get a chance to hear King read this summer at a charity event in NYC is simply a dream come true. I never thought I’d get an opportunity like this in my lifetime. - Who is your favorite OD author and why?[=Delivered=]
I absolutely adore [Fat Rey Slim] Her entries freaking CRACK me up! Unfortunately she doesn’t write often, or when she does, it’s in spurts, but it’s nearly always guaranteed to be a gem of an entry.
I also Love [Cuddle Slut] which is actually an ongoing fiction story written by one of my best friends. - Who would you visit in NC and why?[=Delivered=]
Erm YOU silly! 😛 Because you’re only like probably my {{second}} best online friend. You were the first person who ever commented on my other diary, did you know that? I know I never forgot. I love you my lovely friend. - Whats your most passionate subject?[=Delivered=]
I don’t know if this is really a subject but… kids. I freakin LOVE kids to death!! Not enough to be a teacher though *laugh* Dammit, now I wanna hold a baby. Look what you did. - Alaska, eh? anything specific you wanna do/see while you’re up here (regardless of company)? unsigned, but I know who wrote it
I want to see the Northern Lights. I want to fly in one of those cool planes that can land on the water (pontoons?) I want to see a real live polar bear and a real live caribou NOT in the zoo. I want to see the sun 24 hours a day (obviously this is going to require multiple trips if I wanna see the Northern Lights too *laugh). I want take a cruise to see the fjords and the glaciers. And of course, I’d like to hit up a couple karaoke bars in Anchorage ;-)*laugh* - the band Guster is gonna be on tour on the east coast this summer, wanna go? if you do, what would you wear? unsigned
Only if you’re coming with me. And I usually base my dress on the type of music–I have to admit I’m not that familiar with Guster (they performed at my collge the YEAR before I got here, of course)… I’m thinkin jeans and a t-shirt? Maybe a jean skirt instead? - What was your first cyber-sex experience like?unsigned
I actually wrote about this in my diary when I was 13, and so… an excerpt from the diary (unedited except to add his age):
I also had my first experience with cyber sex today with easyrider.[17yo] (He says he likes younger girlz cuz they’re cuter and more honest)* If real sex is anything like cyber (I mean how he described it to me) I soooo cannot WAIT!! I also did it twice more after he left, but it wasn’t the same–I dont think they really knew what they were talking about.
More answers still to come, but I gotta go for now… also there’s a real entry back one if you’re a fave.
