I have become very addicted to the lottery as of late… this past Wednesday, there was a pool at work for the Powerball drawing ($240 mill split 20 ways, for a $5 ticket? ya.. i think we can do that :-P) so I put in my $5 for that. The next day I bought $5 worth of instants.. and same the next day, and the next day. Which was also Saturday. Which was the *next* Powerball drawing. So I put in another $5 for that. (total of $10 spent on sat) Plus I bought $5 worth of instants today. So what’s that add up to? $25 I think? And nobody has hit the Powerball, so I have no winnings off of that… and none of my scratchoffs were any good until today. I got two winning tickets (out of five purchased) today. Not bad considering the odds for the particular ticket (I got all five the same) are 1:4.25. Of course those are the odds of winning anything at all. Not the odds of winning something worthwhile. I won $1 on one ticket and $2 on the other. w00t. *rolls eyes* so that’s $3 won. Which puts me $22 in the hole. And yet… I’m going to buy another $5 worth of instants tomorrow… and the next day.. and more powerball on Wednesday… it’s sucking me in….
