long week…
I’m slightly overdue for a diary entry, and i just *know* i’m gonna get it from JM if i don’t update soon, so *deep breath* here goes…
I meant to write in here on sunday, and tell all about my glorious weekend last weekend, however, my glorious weekend was cut short by a stomach virus that came upon me early sunday morning and left me incapacitated for almost three days. then last night i had to work until 9, not getting online until 10, and being as i was *completely* exhausted, i really didnt feel like updating at the time. at any rate, i’m here now, so i think i’ll do what i originally intended to do and talk about last weekend, despite the fact that *this* weekend starts tomorrow. anyway, last friday we had a snow day (i know, in the middle of march– it was insane). I tried sleeping in as long as possible, but i still ended up gettting up by 8 30 am, at which time i got on the computer… my friends began coming on around 10, at which time we determined that we really didn’t need the *whole* day off, and could have done with just a 2 hour delay…. plans to break into the school and protest the snow day ensued; however, such plans, while discussed at length, were never carried out. we all were in need of getting out of our houses though, so plans were later made to go to JM’s house and watch donnie darko on her *gasp* PLASMA TV with SURROUND SOUND *hallelujah choir sings* we also spent a large part of the afternoon in an AOL chatroom entitled “tonight” (as per our plans for that night)… various groups kept wandering in and out of said chat room, and one such group was particularly fascinating… when we denied them membership to the SSOP on the grounds that they could not correctly answer the questions “why?” and “what is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?” they decided that since polar bears eat penguins (which is preposterous… they don’t even live in the same hemisphere!) they would become the URPB (or united republic of polar bears)… we laughed at them… told them they were wrong… watched them ignore us…. and laughed some more…. good times, good times lol…. at any rate… later that night, at JM’s, ryan was officially inducted into the SSOP, which now consists of 7 members (JM, car, alex, chrissy, banana, ryan, and myself) — all of us positively insane (one by one the penguins steal my sanity…) although some of us are moreso than others “there is a fine line between genius and insanity”… but personally, i don’t think there’s a line at all… the night ended with me taking ryan home, which was marred only by the fact that i had to pick up my little sister and her friend from the skating rink
saturday began just like any other saturday… i did some laundry, and some cleaning… watched tv… et cetera, et cetera… at 4 i had to go to work until 8. at 8, i went over to the high school to watch the 2nd half of the drama production, but more importantly, the reader’s theatre production of Richard III (condensed) which featured all of my best drama friends 😀 afterwards, there was a party at rens… replete with hot tub… completely awesome… especially the company *wink wink*
sunday i got sick… and that was no fun… i tried forcing myself to go to the church concert, but that resulted in me almost fainting, and having to have my mommy take me home without even getting to sing *pouts* and the worst part is that it was *my* church *tear* i didn’t even get to sing in my own church for my last year in choir *tear… tear… tear…* i went home and collapsed onto the couch, literally not moving for the entire day… i was in and out of sleep, not eating or drinking anything, b/c it would just come back up anyway… it was a very crappy ending to an otherwise *perfect* weekend… i think i was being punished for having a good weekend…
anyways… on monday i was still sick, but i forced myself to go to school because monday night was the winter sports banquet, and the last time that all of the cheerleaders would be gathered in one place, officially… there were awards given out– i was named to the PAC Academic All-Conference team for the winter season… tana gave out little medals too– i got the one for “Most Improved”… we(the seniors) gave little gift baskets to the underclassman, and a scrapbook of all our memories to tana… then we each went down the line and said a little something that we remembered most about cheering, or something that we want to leave the underclassmen with… there were tears shed, but i wasn’t crying… i think i’ve pretty much come to terms with cheerleading ending… at least for now… it will hit me again later… most likely when varsity try-outs start again…
well its rather late, and though i haven’t said all i want to say yet, i’m going to go to bed b/c i’m sleepy
and tomorrow is friday, which is exciting
peace y’all
