labor my ass!
So I wake up at a decent hour this morning, and shower and eat breakfast, all ready to be responsible and stuff. So I get my things together, and head over to the financial aid office. I get to the door and turn the knob and…. nothing. The door was locked. Fricken A!!!! I was trying to think of why it would possibly be locked, and as I walked away, I realized… Labor Day. Dammit!
Well, there was at least one other thing I could do while I was out, I thought, and I headed towards the bookstore. I got to the bookstore, and looked across the hall at the old USPS center (which is closed anyway, for the remodelling of Gilman Hall) and realized… shit! the post office is closed on Labor Day too! ugh. The other thing I needed to do was mail off this book I sold on Amazon.
Speaking of labor though, I went to Xando’s today to let my boss know that I was back in town, because somehow I just knew she would forget I was coming back. Sure enough, as soon as I saw her the first thing she said (after, “Did you get your hair cut?”) was I didn’t think you were coming back. And again I say ugh. I definitely wrote down that I would be back on the first of September. *rolling my eyes* Oh well… she said she’d call me if she needs me since the schedule’s already made up until the 11th, and she’d start putting me on the schedule after that. But I’m looking for a new job anyway. There’s a job fair on campus on Friday that I’ll have to remember to go to between my classes. Heh, maybe I won’t even quit Xando’s and I’ll work two jobs. That’ll be fun. A full courseload, cheerleading practice, and two jobs. I swear I’m not insane.
My neck hurts. I don’t remember where I put my Mineral Ice or if I accidentally left it at home. I need to finish unpacking my room. My friends and I are supposed to be going to Ikea today, but Dave’s not answering his phone. I need a new bath mat, because my old one got moldy. And some other things too. *sigh* why can’t money grow on trees?
My thoughts are so disjointed today.
Does anyone know of any good web comics that I could obsessively read from the begininning up to episode 500-something or wherever they’re at now? It doesn’t even have to be particularly good–just something that would interest me enough to occupy me for a few hours (or days as the case may be, and usually is).
