Day 1, Take 3
So I fell off the wagon a little bit. I knew Saturday was going to be bad, because we had a Memorial Day bbq… spaced over the whole day, I had about 3 hot dogs, two burgers, bbq ribs, countless devilled eggs (they are my weakness), potato salad, shrimp pasta salad, italian pasta salad, three brownies, a slice of cake (it was my dad’s bday too), a beer, two wine coolers, and a mike’s frozen lemondade. And that’s just what I can remember. I think there were Swedish fish involved at one point too. Since then, I’ve eaten at arby’s once, and ruby tuesday’s (think giant burgers) twice, although I did make sure to cut all of my portions in half, which helped a lot. I don’t think I went over points on any day other than Saturday, but since I stopped counting on a few of the days, I’m not exactly sure, so I’m just starting over today. I still need to buy my own scale, but when I went home, I weighed myself on my parents scale, and guess what it said? one-sixty-three. 163!! i wanted to dance around. Actually I *did* dance, since at the same time, I also happened to be wearing my skinny pants. Well they’re not that skinny. But they’re my skinnier than I was pants, that I haven’t been able to fit into since senior year. And even then they were tight. Now I not only fit into them, but I can *breathe* in them. w00t! I know I started to lose weight a little before WW, but I’m hoping that with the help of WW, I can get back down to the size I was at the beginning of my sophomore year of HS (a very healthy 135). It amazes me to think that at this time last year I weighed in at almost 200lbs! Of course, since I weigh less that I thought I did, it means I get less points than I thought I did. You’d be amazed how much difference two points can make! Anyways, today’s foodings:

It has been… so. freakin. hot. Today, I didn’t even leave my room at all. And last week when I was at home, it was so cold!
Day before yesterday, my air conditioner went on the fritz which made it even worse. It constantly blew, because it couldn’t blow cold air, and couldn’t get the temp down to where the thermostat was set. It was so humid and just *gross*
The kicker was yesterday morning, I was practically sweating getting ready for class, and then I went outside, and it was cool (like 80 degrees is cool–which it was compared to my 95 degree room) and breezy. I was all like WTF???
But now it’s(well not anymore, but when I started writing this it was) thundering and lightning, and this one lightning strike, I swear must’ve hit my building because it made a huge CRRRAAAACCKKKK and everything blinked, and the hairs on my arm stood up. I feel tingly all over. It’s electric baby.
This online class thing is pretty darn cool though. I can “go to class” in my underwear 😀 which is sweet considering how hot it is.
Except my a/c works again (at least as much as it ever did before) and now it’s always *cold* in my room. You know, except when it’s hot. It’s like, the air blows until its about 5 degrees colder than what I have the thermostat set at, and then it turns off, and doesn’t turn back on until it’s about 5 degrees *warmer* than what I have it set at. Still its better than not being able to breathe in a room that’s constantly 95 degrees and rising. Heh. *shivers* (in case you couldn’t tell, its *on* right now)
Erm… what else did I want to say…?
oh yes… *mini rant ensues, be warned… skip if necessary*
There’s been a lot of “drama” on the OD boards lately, and seriously, I am not feelin it whatsoever. It seems like you can’t say ANYTHING without SOMEBODY taking offense. And since its in The Rules that you can’t offend anybody… nobody can say anything without someone getting their widdle feelingses hurted. *rolls my eyes* Granted, there are some things that some people have said that have really bordered or crossed the line, but because of those few things they’ve said, *everything* else they say gets taken in a negative light, even when you (er, I) can tell they don’t necessarily mean it the way its been taken. Plus, people seem to not be able to let things just DROP when the topic has clearly moved on. There’s one particular person who seems to be like my evil twin. She says everything that I’ thinking, but would never dare say. Sometimes I want to applaud her for saying what she does, but I have to keep a degree of… I can’t think of the word right now… because I’m a moderator, and I don’t want to step on the toes of any of the other mods, who have MAJOR problems with her. Biggest problem with aaaallll of it, of course, being that tone often cannot be inferred from the written word. Especially when people are having a serious discussion, and someone can ask a genuine question, and have it taken as sarcasm. Ugh. I’m starting to become disillusioned. /rant
In other news. Why does it seem that all of the halfway decent television programs are going off the air this year? 7th Heaven, Charmed, Will and Grace, That 70s Show, The West Wing (which I didn’t really watch,
