graveyard shift, part 2: realizations
“There is a time for many words, and there is also a time for sleep.” ~ Homer
Timecheck: 7:07 am
After much study, and particularly last night (this morning?) I have come to the following realization. There comes a point in the night where, regardless of when you last slept, or for how long you slept, you will feel this overwhelming exhaustion and need to sleep sweep over you. I have calculated that point to be somewhere between 3:30 and 4:30 am. I think maybe it’s something in the air at that time of morning (night??), because it’s happened to me on several occasions, even with getting 8 or more hours of sleep less than 6 hours prior. If you do not give in to this exhaustion, you will have a ‘second wind’ between 6 and 7am, and find it nearly impossible to sleep during this window. Eventually, at some point thereafter, you will pass out (not literally… but when you lie down, you’ll go to sleep fast and deep).
Timecheck: 7:23 am… i.e. bedtime 😀
RYN: Like I told her, I just won’t pick up the phone then. I’d just hide behind my friendship with Toby if that ever happens. 😉

I agree.

oh. definietly agreed. And if you do not fall asleep, then you will be so tired you will feel like you are drunk. Sad what us students have to go through… <
