demon spawn is dead *edit: another one*

R.I.P. Bessie. I had her for a grand total of 8 whole days.

The only thing that qualifies Wally as still alive right now is the fact that he’s breathing. But before he was at least moving and trying to swim around when encouraged, and last night before I went to bed, I noticed he was actually upright for a few minutes. But this morning he’s back on his side and not moving at all. He’s been so calm, even since yesterday, that he doesnt flop around when I net him. So calm in fact, that I can pick him up in the palm of my hand and he won’t move or struggle to get away. The pet store doesn’t open today until 10am, and my sister’s got the car anyway. Besides that, I don’t even know what they could do. *le sigh*

I can’t believe Bessie died though.. she didn’t even seem sick. At this point, even though I don’t want Wally to die, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he did. Bessie’s death was kind of a shock though. *sigh* So pending a miraculous recovery by Wally, I’m back down to two fish.

Oh I suppose I should mention that I got Carlini to help me name the other fancy comet. Her name is Celebdil. It’s sortofish from LOTR… there’s a mountain called Silvertine, and Celebdil is the Elvish name for it. Because Carlini thought the name should be “Sil-” something because she kind of looks silvery. So I found Silvertine, but didn’t really like it, so found the Elvish equivelant and ta-da. Yes, we are dorks.

So to recap: Bessie is dead, Wally lays dying, and my two alive and lively fish are named Mashimaru and Celebdil.

This is turning into a fish diary. Sadly, fish are the most exciting thing in my life right now.

*edit* R.I.P. Wally … 6 months isnt bad for a carnival fish… i just think about how much longer he might have lived if i had been content with just him and Mashimaru.. *sigh* Who knows how long I could have had my cute lil carnival fish… He’ll never jump outta the water again, making that cute lil splashing noise… he’ll never dig in the gravel for dropped bits of food… *sigh* … yea, I guess that’s about all I have to say
