another tag, ohnoes

Okays, I wasn’t officially tagged to do this one, but it’s been going around (seriously, I think every single one of my faves has done it by now) and I’ve read about 4 or 5 of them that simply say ‘consider yourself tagged if you read this. So. Here goes.

Six weird things about me:

1. When I start cleaning, I can’t stop. It will take me days, or even weeks, to clean just because I have to go through every little thing and organize it and make sure there’s a place for everything, and everything in it’s place. Because of this, I often won’t even start cleaning. It bugs me to NO END to have a messy or dirty space, but because I see it as an daunting task that will never ever be completed to my standards, I don’t even bother to start. My dad thinks its just because I’m lazy, but its not.

2. I cannot eat fresh tomatoes. Tomato sauce with tomato chunks? Fine. I’ll even eat all of the tomato chunks, which isn’t something I can say for most people. Panini with roasted tomato slices and cheese. Oh god, yum. A sandwich or burger with tomato on it? Or salad with tomatoes in it? Absolutely out of the question. However my favorite kind of salsa is salsa fresca which is essentially just a bunch of chopped up tomatoes and peppers. Fresh. (Seriously. It’s like the best salsa ever. I can’t find it everywhere though, which sucks. We have it at my grocery store back home in the produce section. They also serve it in the on-campus tex-mex place.)

3. I spend less money, and money less often if I have it in cash rather than if I have it in the bank or on a credit card. This is because I can actuallly SEE my money, and it’s not out of sight, out of mind.

4. I am really bad at sticking to a routine. They say something becomes habit if you do it 20 times in a row (I think). I usually “forget” to do it after time #18 or 19.

5. I love cooking. Love. Love. Love. The act of stirring something, or watching over the stove relaxes me. So much so that I often find myself with a 5 or 6 course meal that could feed 4 or more people, and no one to eat it but me.

6. I love shoe shopping and clothes shopping. Just shopping in general. I have so many pretty and stylish clothes and shoes as a result. More often than not though, I end up wearing a t-shirt or sweatshirt and jeans or shorts and flip flops or sneakers (depending on the season). Shopping is about fashion and style, dressing is about comfort. (although i love my platform sandal-heel things–they’re sooooo comfy, and stylish!)

I *hate* fresh tomatoes. Yet, I can also, for some reason, eat ketchup and tomato sauce and every tomato product known to man. I think it’s the slimy middle part. Soooo gross.
