Knowing Me

I wish you could know me now. I am different than I was 30 years ago. It really doesn’t seem that long ago.  So much of my time with you has influenced the present me.  Not all positive but I must say not all negative either. You got me to grow up. Maybe too fast in certain ways but in other ways much needed. One thing that never wavered you encouraged me to be better. It has been over 14 years since I lost you but you live in my heart and mind everyday.  I miss you, my friend.
