Checklists and crying and orders, Oh my!

Currently, the Monkey is crying in his crib because, apparently, he doesn’t want to take a nap today. To that I say: “Tough boogers, kid!” And unless he gets super upset, in his crib he will stay until he falls asleep and takes a sufficient nap. We’ve now gone from crying to “Aaaaaaaa. AaaaaAAAaaaa. AAAaaaaaaaA.” He’ll succumb to sleep soon…I hope.

Checklists for Christmas stuff are almost fully complete! This kills me that I’m saying this so late in the season though. Every year since we’ve been married I’ve had ALL the Christmas shopping done before Thanksgiving. One year I was even done before Halloween, my crowning achievement! This year I just finished picking up stuff yesterday and next week I’ll bake and package and ship my Dad’s present (cooookies!) which is the last one to be made and sent. So I won’t be done, done until next week. Ugh. It kills me that I still have 2 boxes to take to the post office and one more next week. I should have been done weeks ago! 🙂 However, yesterday was amazing in that I got my inlaws gifts done and ordered and packaged. That felt good. We ordered a tower from Popcorn Factory (Hubby’s choice) to send them. I also got a 5X7 of one of our family photo’s, framed it and they’ll get that too while my BIL is getting an iTunes giftcard (the smallest denomination I could find). We’re goin’ cheap this year due to lack of fundage. They’ll just have to deal. I know my MIL is big on big gifts and money and stuff but that’s not what Christmas is about for us so like I said, she’ll just have to deal. My mom is getting an 8X10 of her favorite picture of Monkey and me. Dad’s getting the cookies (like I already said) and my sisters and I decided last year to stop exchanging gifts with each other.

Monkey is truly crying hysterically….will return shortly to finish this…

10 minutes pass…

Hopefully now he’ll fall asleep. All I did was pick him, his blanket and his giraffe (Rafael) up, sat in the glider and tried to rock him. All he did was lay on my chest then sit up. Look around. Lay down on my chest for 5 seconds, sit up, look around, babble, Repeat. After 10 minutes of this I told him that “It’s naptime. You need to take a nap now, ok?” To which he shook his head and I told him “Yes, naptime.” And put him back in his crib. Now he’s babbling and standing in his crib and starting to whine. At this point I’ve gone in there and tried to appease him and it only worked to quiet him not to make him go to sleep so he’s on his own now. Anywho…

I was really hoping I would get to say “We have orders!!!!” But nope. They told Hubby he’d “have them Friday at the latest” and Friday came and went with no orders. I assume he and his other order-less classmates when down there today since he didn’t come home for lunch. Hopefully when he gets home today he’ll have some answers or news but I seriously doubt it. At this point I’m not putting money on getting orders before the end of the year. The MPF here is a bunch of idiots and I have no faith in them at all.

I thought about doing DePhoMo but…yeah. We all know I’m not that reliable when it comes to be consistent with my updating. 🙂

Monkey is still “crying” which is more whining with yelling at this point. I refuse to go in there. He’s not dirty, he’s not hungry, he’s just tired and needs a nap. Time for me to grab a shower and get some dishes done. My life is so exciting isn’t it? I’m sorry for boring you guys lately. 🙂 Hopefully I’ll have fun an exciting news soon. 🙂
