so far ok

I have been very good at getting up and walking, AND walking again in the evening if it is not too late, too dark, too hot, too much lightening, etc. We have had no rain, but lots of lightening and thunder the last couple of weeks. East of here they had 4 inches. Here, nada.

The eating habits? Well, they are improved, but not a whole lot. I couldn’t resist the temptation of brownies at my in laws this weekend, but I did take two pretty long walks on the gravel roads by their place. Probalby 4 miles in total. But I probably had more than 4 brownies. And home made ice cream. And… lots of other stuff.

Today I got up and walked my usual 3 laps around the track. Thankfully the track is about 3 blocks from our house. There were a lot of ppl there today. It was a nice morning. I try to walk up until 6:30 and then leave. I would like to get there earlier, but it doesn’t always happen. If I leave at 6:30, I have time for a shower and I can be to work in good time. Last week, the high school football team was working out and used the track at about 7. Thus I make a big effort to get there earlier. Thankfully I was done walking already.

I managed to have no coffee today, but ended up drinking two pepsis because I couldn’t stay awake in our all-day meeting. It was good meetings but not all of it pertained to what i do, so I zoned out.

I have laundry all over the place. Some clean and wrinkled that I need to get folded and put away. A lot dirty still. Ugh. I am so far behind!

At least the weather has cooled a bit. It was hot today, but now it is overcast and acts like it wants to rain. Doubt it will amount to anything tho.

My “new” van is still a pain. I feel so bad about that. The seats are just not comfortable. My old one was perfect. And it wasn’t all that old. I keep thinking that consumers reports is going to show I had the best van of all in my old one and that the satisfaction rating for the new ones is not as good. I am certain of it. The seat in particular is driving me nuts. It just does not suit me at all. And my other one was the ideal seat for me. Why on earth are they so different? And what can I do about it? Sigh. Why oh why oh why did I not insist he NOT trade my old van. I had a sinking feeling as soon as he did it and called to say, no, I changed my mind, don’t do it. He said too late. I was like, NOOOOOOO! I should have said, no, go back and undo it now. I know you have 24 hours on a deal like a new vehicle. Remorse. I still am bummed. The best vehicle I ever had is gone and a new one in its place is a good vehicle but with seats that don’t fit ME. crud. Otherwise, it is an OK vehicle. I still prefer my old one. Yeah, I am weird.

faith hope and love, but the greatest of these is love.

I got a new van about a year ago and I hate it too. My old van was the best. I had 3 of them over a 9 year period but they stopped making them so I had no choice but to get this new one. My seats are really uncomfortable too.
