my kids are old
I was just visiting some diaries and remembering when my kids were younger. I am missing that fun, discovering time. I am happy to see families enjoying one another and enjoying their kids.
I am glad my kids are the ages they are (17 & 20). They are cool to be around and turned out to have more success in their short years than I could even hope for, in many aspects of their lives. I can’t wait to see what happens next! It is amazing the phases we go through.
Being single wondering what life has in store for me, and who I will spend my life with or will I spend it alone?
Then having children, the work and the wonder of it, exhausting and rewarding.
Then having the children grow up and wow… that’s where I am now.
What’s next? I wonder! 🙂
I just hope I can keep myself up and not get down as they move on. I miss my daughter so much, and I will miss my son when he moves out too. But I am so glad they are prepared to face whatever comes their way, good or bad. I hope not bad, but difficult things happen in life.
faith hope and love, but the greatest of these is love.

Glad to meet you. I’m just reflecting on what you’ve said. Every stage of my life, I’ve said “Surely, THIS is the best time EVER…” And as each child has gone through their phases, “Surely, this is the BEST time I’ll ever have with them…” I can’t wait to see how they grow up. But I can’t stand that they’re growing up so quickly, too.

At the end of my day, I am thankful for the sharp minds that ask all the tough questions and keep me on my toes. And I will miss it in a few years when they are all grown up.
