missing someone

Yeah, yeah, its my kid.

i am not doing too bad, but i really do miss her.

i talked to my sister in law. we had our babies at the same time, sort of. she is about 10 yrs older than i am, but our kids are in the same grades. she has two boys, i have one girl and one boy.

last fall we both were anxious to send our firstborn out into the big bad world of college life, and we both thought our kids had it made. they treat you well in college these days. of course, it costs a bundle to be treated so nicely…

now this fall, in talking to her, i told her it was harder to send dau away cuz we had such a great summer. she said she and her oldest son didn’t do much together but that she had enjoyed him being around more than ever, and now, yeah, he’s outta there. it is like they wake up and realize what they took for granted. you don’t miss it til its gone.

as parents, your kids finally get cool and they leave. oh well. it is the natural course of things.

dau emailed me some of the discussions she is having with her bf. deep discussions. so i responded… and it was a little late and pretty short. her response to me was that she missed me badly right now. i know she is tired and stressed. i told her to take a deep breath, pray and relax. hope that helps her out. sometimes even tho you know, you need to be reminded.

but yeah, i am kinda lost. and even tho i was glad to get her going last fall, i was lost then too. just can’t seem to get it settled.

my son is going from being a royal pain to a sweetheart. he drives me nuts. i can’t wait to send him off but it will be that much harder i suppose.

well, i need to go take a walk before i lose daylight. no one to walk with tonight and i really gotta get some exercise! sat in the vehicle all day yesterday. gag.

faith hope and love, but the greatest of these is love.

I agree with you about the kids leaving!! I miss my son, and unfortunately he will only be home for visits from now on, as school is year round and is 1800 miles away. I am treasuring the time i have with YD as i know soon enough she will be gone too. >^..^<

God bless your sweet heart. It has to be hard to say good-bye to your daughter like that. The good thing is she is in college and will have a good career and in a few years she will be finished and hopefully the good-byes will not be as often. ryn: I guess that trucker strike was an internet rumor? I asked Marcia if Walmart was planning to stop running their trucks and she said Walmart never eve

even heard about a trucker strike. oh and…. I really do wish the hurricane was not the same name as my diary name. Katrina is my most favorite female name in the world. My mother was going to name me Katrina but my Father talked her out of it. Have a good week((hugs))
