couldn’t go

dau had plans with g tonight, but had to tell him no. hub, his mom and dad, and another lady went to her concert from out of town. so they wanted to take her to supper and all that. she had lots of studies. the initial plan was she would go get her stuff done and then she & g would go out. she told him earlier that maybe she couldn’t go now. he was ok with that. he asked if he could still call her and she said yes. he called but she had just gotten home and didn’t have anything done for classes tomorrow. being the responsible person she is, she said no. he was ok. they will go another time. how mature. her other x’s would take it personally and think she was avoiding them. drives her nuts. then they would obsess over it…….

she indicated that a lot of ppl know about this. she thinks one of her teachers knows soemthing cuz he has hinted at it. dau thinks g maybe confided in this teacher and that is y. now dau has told a girl in a class. and dau says she thinks all the guys know. embarrassing, but ok. the girl is all amused and hopes something comes of this. unfortunately, this guy is probably 5 yrs older than dau and that freaks her out a little. i told her if this guy gets ideas, she needs to finish her education and all that. i guess he spent last summer in europe and will do the same this summer. he really sounds like a gem. who knows what the Lord has in mind.

situation with recent x hasn’t changed. i am afraid it might not. i suppose x has some growing up to do. sad, but this might help him along with that. i just hope he finds a nice girl.

dau is just as happy as can be. excited about life. excited about the next few weeks. and then summer. she will be cool about it i predict. i bet he writes her over the summer. or emails. nobody writes anymore. what am i thinking?

dau had a friend who was a foreign exchange student. he went back to korea. he always indicated he would like to keep in touch. he would write. but he never did. and he never responded to dau’s emails. he was a nice guy. shy. uncomfortable about not knowing the language, but dau said he was not hard to understand. she thought he was smart. she would give him rides to stuff as he didn’t have a car. but she also was dating a control freak back then and maybe the control freak told him not to talk to her. he did that to other guys. how weird.

i guess when dau and g went out, dau told him all about this control freaky xbf from a couple yrs ago. dau was telling me his response. he was like, you’re kidding! and what did ppl say? and she said she never told anybody, cuz this guy was borderline abusive. certainly emotionally and mentally controlling. he wouldn’t let her spend time with other ppl including her family. i told dau that it bugged me cuz he was always so close to her and it was like he didn’t respect her space. too familiar if u know what i mean. she told g that she broke up with him several times and he would always find some reason to make her still hang out with him. other guys later told her that he would tell them not to talk to her. so they didn’t. she said she had to learn to be a jerk then to get rid of him. that she never had to be a jerk before, but she learned.

dau says g doesn’t try to rub up against her like so many guys do. opens the door like a gentleman. she said he is the first guy she has Never caught “checking her out.” in fact she was pretty sure he didn’t really like her becuase she never caught hint of that. she figures maybe he is just pretty cool about it.

it always amazed me the stares she would get anywhere we went. amazing. she is pretty, but not like a model or anything. just sweet, cute and confident. sometimes not even sweet. lol! maybe its the confidence. she has a lot of that. there are a lot of pretty girls. in fact, i think a lot of girls look like her. i can see a blond chick and think it is my dau sometimes. of course, my eyesight ain’t what it should be. i have always been bad about recognizing ppl. really bad. i can tell by what she is wearing tho cuz she covers more skin than most girls. she is very modest about what she wears. she has been seen in a two piece bathing suit, but not often. she is very modest.
