Happy Hump Day
Well, all is quiet this week. The boys have been in school, no drama. I am scheduled to go back to work next week (yay!) unless the orthopedic doctor says differently. I did not run out of personal time and will have a little left over. Very grateful for the calmness in our lives for a few days.
Brian lost his job last night. The manager said he wasn’t picking up the cash register fast enough, but said he would give him a good reference. He was upset, but determined to find something else as soon as possible.
I reported the sexual assault on my neice in the county her parents and brother live in. The sheriff’s office there said it had to be reported in my county. I told them the sheriff’s office here said the same thing, and requested a supervisor. Spoke with a lady and explained the situation, she said she would follow up and contact me. I am as involved as I will let myself be, but it’s just ridiculous that two law enforcement agencies are passing the buck while a twelve year old girl is being molested. I guess my next call is to an old friend at FoxNews to see if we can’t embarrass them into doing something. The local gang rape of a 12 year old girl from Cleveland, TX was being swept under the rug a couple of years ago until someone notified Fox of the YouTube video of the act (not me). They love to embarrass law inforcement over stuff like this. We’ll see what happens today when/if I get a call back. Rosie may not be Lois Lane, but it’s nice to have a local television reporter as a friend. I helped her pass English our senior year, she owes me, lol. Thirty five years isn’t too long to collect on a favor in my mind.
I just jumped on OD for a minute since I haven’t posted since Sunday, but nothing much going on. I have to head for the courthouse to register the vehicles in a little bit, then back home for a semi relaxing afternoon I hope. Hope everyone has a great wednesday.
How scary that two law enforcement agencies want to pass the buck and not give a rats pahtoodee about a little girl! Makes you wonder what their job really is! I hope that your son finds a new job soon before he becomes depressed. And It is good to hear that things have been well with you. Ginny
