Driving While Not Intoxicated….

Just a quickie post about last night’s incident.
After fumigating the house last night, Brad and I decided to run to the local hamburger joint and pick up supper. As we pulled in, flashing lights appeared behind us. Brad, who was driving, had left his wallet with his ID at home, so I gave the officer my drivers license and insurance. He asked Brad to step out of the car and for me to remain seated. When he got back into the car, Bradley was laughing. "He let me go because he could smell the alcohol on you and said you needed a driver". That’s a good nose, because I haven’t had a sip of alcohol in months. Brad found it infinitely more humorous than I did.
To make it even more humiliating, this guy works with my eldest Brandon, who I am sure got an earful about his drunken Dad on the road in the middle of the night. Any protests to the contrary will just make it more humiliating. What kind of police officer can’t tell the difference between soda and alcohol? Glad he didn’t issue a citation to Brad, even if it was to allow him to chauffeur his "alcoholic" dad, but still…..

I can understand why that had you hot under the collar, I would be too. Still, It’s for the best that you just went on your way, I bet that Officer gets lied too, and about all the time..I couldn’t be a policeman for one second. 🙂
