We’re Legal!

On Thursday evening at Unity Church we had a short, sweet and simple Civil Union ceremony performed. Linda bought us two pinky ring bands that the minister blessed and we put on each other’s finger. Two good friends witnessed the service and then we went out to eat – yummo. We exchanged fancier rings when we had our big ceremony in  2004. I am glad we did this, although I felt like we really got married previously. To me, this was just a legal technicality, but a necessary one.

Friday we went shopping at the mall and got a few gifts. We then swung around and put a deposit on a car that Linda has been looking at for a while – a 2009 Nissan Altima.  It should be in next week. We drove it a short while back and it is a good, smooth ride. I definitely like it.

Time to watch the tube! Peace out – Have a great weekend.

oh, that is beautiful to hear. congradulations! The last 4 weddings of friends have all been same-sex couples. Maybe it’s cause I’m hanging with a different crowd now. Before I came out, none. Now, 4 in a year. What a difference a closet makes…. 😉
