Three Days

So here I am at Newark Airport – ridiculously early, but on time for when they tell you to be here. I decided to bring the laptop, since I have a stopover coming and going. I put it into my carry-on bag, as opposed to a separate laptop case. All I have in there is clothing for tomorrow. I pared down the cosmetics and such, since they do make a big deal out of gel-ing/spraying people to death.
So we will see if I get what I asked for. I certainly hope so, since they have lead me along this far and are springing for airfare, hotel, etc. I am staying at what looks like a very nice Hilton. All things being equal, I really do not like to travel, especially for business.
We have been winterizing the yard – Linda has been blowing leaves, putting planters/lawn furniture away, etc. I have pulled countless leaves from the pond and skimmer, as it has been windy for the past two days.

After a very long flight and arriving (hyper as can be) at my hotel around 10PM, I am back at the airport. My interviews started at 11, which gave me some relaxation time this morning. I took my time getting ready and went over to the hospital. The two interviews went very well and I had lunch with 4 members of the IT staff. I met with a manager and exec. The offer will be coming probably from the recruiter. So I still don’t know if they will offer me what I asked for.
I took a small ketchup bottle and two tiny jars of jelly from my breakfast tray, which were confiscated at the airport. I guess they felt it took too many face creams to me beautiful. All of my lotions and potions did not fill in the regulation plastic bag.
I indulged myself in a full room-service breakfast this morning, as I did not feel like getting dressed and potentially spilling something on my blouse (to know me is to know me). I enjoyed getting up without an alarm this morning, as I was really tired last night. That little bit of time was a blessing, as I arrived at the hospital relaxed and composed.

I got home close to 10 PM last evening and experienced that joyful combination of hyper and exhausted. I ran around in circles for a bit and then got into bed and watched some TV.
This morning was off to a very low start and I had the laptop on the bed for a short while. I ended up sleeping most of the day, as I was more exhausted than I realized. Have a great weekend.

I hope you get lots of rest 🙂 re: the liquids at the airport – I actually have 2 baggies and spilt them up into different bins when I go through security! Noones caught on yet… I’m surprised they even said anything, I pass through security one a regular basis with nail polish, eye drops, lip gloss and perfume in my purse…
