The Big KY

No, not a large tube of the lubricant, Louisville, KY. I started my long awaited job on Monday and find that although everyone is very nice, I don’t have a laptop, the sign-ons/passwords I need, the cell phone they promised me, etc. I am not the only one whohas experienced this problem. Once all this gets together, I am sure that I will enjoy this posiiton. I am using the computer in the business center at the hotel and I have a desktop available for me during the day. I don’t mean to bitch, but it’s not the same – sigh!

I met a woman who worked in the same office of Siemens that I worked in for years (NYC) and although we did not work there at the same time, we took a trip down memory lane with the people we both know. That was unexpected and fun.

I have been watching what I eat – chicken, veggies, salad, etc for meals and nuts, apples, yogert, and the like for snacks AND I walked 25 minutes on the treadmill this evening. I am determined to stick with what I have been doing. My clothes are actually big on me, which in my opinion, is a luxury problem.

I will be going home on Thirsday afternoon and will be back here Monday morning (yep 7:10 flight again).  I am so grateful that I can come home before Friday. It makes it all so much easier.

I’m glad to see you are doing better. What do you mean by a ‘luxury problem?’ I understand you are trying to loose weight and that is good. I have had the oposet problem from time to time…anyway, drop me a note if you wish. blessed be, black and red

Thanks for the notes. I like your optimism and re-starting a day when it’s not working for you. Congratulations on your new job. KY is a beautiful state. Hope the travel isn’t too much. And congrats on the weight loss. It’s great getting back into old clothes instead of always having to buy new.

For a short while, I dated this girl from Kentucky. She constantly referred to it as “the KY state”, and she meant every bit of the double entendre. I still remember that whenever I see their initials…. I may never take them seriously again. 😉
