PA Again

I am in Norristown today and tomorrow this week. The guy I am working with is taking every other Monday as a vacation day and I am covering for him. It’s real boring without him here. I hated to leave Linda alone with the puppy, but right now I have to be here every week.

This evening I am having dinner with an old friend who I have not seen in years. I am looking forward to something a bit more stimulating than being along in a hotel room. We met at my last job about 20 years ago and became great friends. Due to time and space and no particular reason, we drifted. The guy I am working with knows her and is a friend, which us what prompted me to call her.

I was up at 4:30 to take care of the fur-babies before driving here. I learned that Lucy does not like the rain one bit. She is really getting the ‘outside thing’ and stays in her crate quietly for most of the night. I have to watch her closely when she is running around.

Yesterday was a big weepy day for me – a missing Cookie day. I also missed Bandit nuzzling and snuggling at night. She has been upstairs hiding almost of the time. I brought her downstairs, once Lucy was in the crate. I felt a little better about her self-proclaimed banishment. When we first brought Kody home, Bandit still had the company of Mush and I did not feel quite as badly as I do now.

When all settle, the home will be at peace and the sweet Bandit figures out that a moment with the claw will ensure Lucy’s manners…then all will be well.

I’m sure Linda will take special care of Lucy while you’re gone. I feel for you having a “missing Cookie” day. I know all about that. She was a beautiful dog. Hopefully Kody and Bandit will adjust quickly and Lucy will just fit in famously. :))

Its so hard to get used to a new herd mate(I realize we are talking about dogs right now…lol..) sometimes.were having that peoblem at REINS right now with one of the new horses. I hope things get better for you all soon!(((Hugs))

I really hope that Lucy settles in soon, she is so cute and I would hate for you to have any regrets about getting her. I hope that you enjoyed your dinner.

*big hugs* RYN~I did…the summer help Lauren brought some in. They were very pretty and kinda smelled like um, a biff. lol But, they were very pretty!
