30s bash :)

So… I am 30… it says it right there… riiiiight uuuup there…. *points to her left open diary frame* and… I feel… GREAT!!! 🙂

Who would have thought!!!! I was sooooo terrified about my 30s and it’s actually fine. I had a great day! It started great and ended great. In the morning I got another person to come along to my dinner. She thought it was Saturday rather than Friday and thought she couldn’t make it but since it was friday she could. so my darling Barbie came along with her husband and i was thrilled!!!! 

I went to the bank in the morning to do a lodgement and then I got my nails done, got a blow dry and went shopping. I was running around aaaaall the shops… cheap and expensive… looking for a cute top or a nice dress to wear that night and i couldn’t find AAAAANYTHING!!! I literally hated it ALL!!! I hated the cuts, the style… the colours… everything!!! Esp. the colours!!! They’re all so faded!!! Not sure what’s the point of that! Maybe the clothes are meant to look like they’re ACTUALLY from the 80s… no clue… awful. I like my colours strong and vibrant… so i ran to every bloody shop in the shopping centre and was close to giving up when I went into Aware (literally the LAST shop before the exit….not kidding you) and I went in, hated it all again, turned around to leave… and there it was… FAAAABOOOOLICIOUS!!!! A cute little burgundy/purple tight midlength number…. awh… I was in luuuurve… so I took it in an 8 and 10 (Eu sizes people) into the changing room, tried on the Size 8 and it fit!!!! Oooooh… I still fit into the teeny tiny sizes… yay! 🙂 With 30!!!! 🙂 And it was just perfect! So I got that, also got a pair of nice, but comfortable, shoes and a cute Fiorelli cross body handbag. Talk about spoiling myself… but hey… one only is 30 that one time right? 🙂

Then I went home, had a nap, ordered a cab, got dressed, Amy texted me, I ended up inviting her and she actually said yes!!! I was like omg omg omg!!! More about that later heheheh… then  Romuald arrived, taxi did too and we headed into town to my favourite Italian Restaurant Ciao Bella Roma. We were the first ones to arrive. Then Giuseppe came, then Katrin and Jerry and then it just kept filling in. you can imagine how THRILLED i was when so many people came that we had to get another table added to the ones that were reserved for us to fit everybody 🙂

And ooooh I got SUCH amazing presents!!!!! I nearly cried at one point because they all were so generous and, even better, soooo thoughtful!!!!!! They were all real "Nadine" presents in their own way! Like some people gave me little Hindu status, incense, oil burners etc my colleague Kristina gave me a hair dresser voucher (for 30 Euro!!!!! FAAAAR too much!!!!) because the last time we met it was at the hair dressers… so cute… but possibly the best present was from Mark!!! He gave me two Bill Hicks t-shirts!!!!! I was THRILLED!!!! 🙂 It was such a Nadine gift!!!! He knows me sooo well 🙂 Thankfully Romuald had a bag with him and he took all the stuff home as i headed on dancing later on and he carried all my stuff home. He’ll give it to me in work on monday.

So Amy was running late but when she arrived I jumped of the table and hugged her forever….. she was the only one I hugged really cos it was pissing rain outside and i didn’t want to ruin my outfit/make up…. with her… i didn’t give a shit… lol It was nice to see her… even though we were still a bit awkward with each other… but that’s understandable i guess.

Amy and some of the other girls went on dancing later. Giuseppe came too and he gave us all a lift home later on as well which was great.

it was a really really amazing night. Giuseppe took pictures so once i get them I’ll post some. 🙂

Food Diary (yesterday):

Breakfast: nothing

Lunch: tinned mandrines and pineapple (late lunch at like half 2 or so)

Dinner: Melanzzane starter and gnocci for the main. All veggie.

Dessert: Espresso

Exercise: daaaaaancing 🙂

Weight: I don’t dare to check LOL. Nah i just didn’t get around to yet
