Stolen
A friend of mine on Livejournal occasionally posts things I want to steal. Two of them that I wanted to preserve and share are below. Thanks, Bee. =)
One:
when you truly care for someone, you don’t look for faults.
you don’t look for answers. you don’t look for mistakes.
instead, you fight the mistakes. you accept the faults and you overlook excuses.
the measure of love is when you love without measure.
there are rare chances that you’ll meet the person you love and who loves you in return.
so once you have it, don’t ever let go. the chance might never come your way again.
Two:
‘one evening an old cherokee man told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
he said, ‘my son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all.
one is evil. it is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, worry, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
the other is good. it is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, humour, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.’
the grandson thought about it for a minute, and then asked his grandfather, ‘which wolf wins?’
the old cherokee simply replied, ‘the one you feed.’
those are both really beautiful. : )
Warning Comment
It helps to take the time to read things like this. One may glance over it and not really take it in for application to one’s own life, but then you’d be missing the point. I think I’m missing the point most of the time.
