prayer **Update**

If I could ask any of you OD members who believe in prayer to pray for my mother, it’d be greatly appreciated.

This morning she woke up with her heart beating super fast and feeling like she was going to pass out. My grandmother drove her to the ER and around 11 a.m. she was told she is anemic and was almost completely depleted of her blood. They have put 2 pints on blood in her so far, and they may put another in. Her iron is at 1% when it should be at 30%. They have no idea what has caused this to happen. They will be taking a camera into her stomach to look for ulcers, then they will perform a colonoscopy. This is a great concern for her and our family since her colon is not normal. She was born with a condition that takes special care when it comes to any kind of procedure. It’s very possible that they could end up hurting her worse if they do not understand the extent of her condition, as it is very rare and most doctors will never have to deal with it.

Thanks guys.

After 5 pints of blood, a colonoscopy, upper T-I, and finding absolutely nothing, my mom is home and feeling fine. The doctors found the becomings of ulcers on my moms stomach and feel that is the source of the oozing blood. They haven’t got proof of it, but they found nothing else that offered an explanation. They put her on iron pills, vitamin C, and something to clear up the ulcers, and told her she’s not allowed to have any IB prophin. Since I already don’t trust this hospital and they didn’t give a sound reason for this happening, my step dad and I have agreed to keep a close eye on her for a while. I’m just so glad the Lord brought her home okay. 🙂

Hope all is well!
