<——————————– Real Entry

1. Do you find yourself caring a lot about online people, even if you haven’t met or spoken to them off of the computer?
I have one real life friend and my family (husband included). My one real life friend is precious to me, but I rarely see her. I don’t do so well with social interactions… between the anxiety, the bipolar, and my personal pickiness… my online friends are my gang. Caring about them is part of the deal.
 2. Think about your best friend…what do you like the most about him/her?
She looks and acts sweet and innocent. You’d think she walked off the set of Little House on the Prairie, that is, until you threaten her family. Then, the momma bear comes out… hungry.
 3. What color are your eyes?
Green like my mother’s eyes most days… but sometimes, when the summer wind is hot and sticky, my grandmother’s blue ring pushes through.
 4. How many people are on your list of OD favorites?
Why does that matter? I was done with popularity contests well before high school. Besides, I really don’t want to discuss how few people in this world I find interesting enough to read. 🙂
 5. If you had to be trapped in a room for 48 hours, and you had to listen to one CD on repeat play for 48 hours…what would it be?
Crap. I actually did this once. When I was 12, right after my grandmother died, my grandpa took my sister and me on a trip around the Western states. A tape called Return of the Celts got stuck in the tape player on the third day of the 3 week trip. I can still hear the music in my head… so I guess I’d just listen to that; I’ve already learned to block it out.
 6. What kind of clothes do you usually wear?
I flat out hate having to wear anything other than a tank top and pj bottoms. If I have to wear something else, it’s a tank top and jeans. Flip-flops instead of shoes.
 7. Do you judge people at all based on what they look like?
Not at all… if I’m in Harlem at 2am in a mini-skirt walking down the street, and I happen to see a large black man with gold chains and that particular swagger-walk, I’m just as likely to smile and wave at him as I am my husband. Be serious. In this world, you are what you make yourself out to be. My flip-flops and tank top say I’m a no-nonsense, don’t give a shit about fashion woman who lives for summers and sunshine. The swagger and gold chains scream “I want to be feared!” Okay. You win. 🙂
 8. Name three things that you are obsessive about:
Planning for the future—even though it’s pointless because with my husband the future of next week changes daily; my cats—convinced they’ll get out of get trapped or hurt and spend their last breaths of life wondering why their mommy isn’t there to save them; music—I dance and sing my life: good or bad.
 9. When a stranger drops something, do you attempt to pick it up?
Well, I’d be failing at the ‘good person’ thing I strive for if I didn’t. Thankfully, people don’t drop a lot of stuff around me. I’d probably stumble and fall trying to pick it up. Usually, I’m the dropper.
 10. Name one thing you would never eat.
Garbanzo beans. It’s a health thing… inside thing… my dad. Long story. Never going to eat them. Ever. Can’t make me.
 11. Did/do you have a crush on any of your teachers?
Um… I set up an email account and emailed my philosophy professor and even went to lunch with him after the semester ended… he was short and had a receding hair line, but between the blue eyes and his quit wit, I was smitten.
<div style="margin:0in 0in 10pt; line-height: normal”> 13. Do you live near your birthplace?
I move a lot. In the last three years, I’ve been in Wisconsin, Houston TX, San Marcos TX, and Virginia. I’m about to move back to Texas (Houston). I was born in Gainesville, FL. So, no… don’t and haven’t.
 14. When you hear the song "Puff the Magic Dragon" what do you think?
Never heard it, actually. Pot never really put me in the singing frame of mind. I was more of the …. Wha? … kind of stoned.
 15. Do you ever eat food right out of cans and jars instead of using plates or bowls?
No. Not even once.
 16. Does your mind ever go blank?
It doesn’t ‘go blank.’ It simply reboots on a regular basis. 🙂
 17. Do you have a washer and dryer?
Yes, although you wouldn’t know it by the pile of dirty clothes I was supposed to be doing today…
 18. Have you ever met anyone interesting at a Laundromat?
A couple of yellow, cracked plastic chairs, but they weren’t very good conversationalists.
 19. Would you give a needy person the shirt off your back?
Assuming I had a bra on… or it was life or death… (before marriage, the bra thing wouldn’t have been a big issue… kind of is now though)
 20. Have you ever been slashed with a knife?
Yes. I was certain butter knives would not break skin. I have a nice semi-circle scar on my finger that says otherwise. Hey, don’t knock it… its how I learn.
21 Do you notice cracks in the pavement?
Only after I’m on my ass wonder why I’m no longer walking.
 22. Do you think it is acceptable to live with someone before marrying them?
I think it’s a personal thing. I didn’t, but then, my husband has spent most of our relationship on the other side of the planet. My bf didn’t… really. Frankly, it’s not one of those things I give a lot of thought.
 23. Are you more attracted to oceans, rivers, or lakes?
Oceans. Can’t think of anything more beautiful, intriguing, or deadly… reminds me of my momma.
 24. Do you have dirt under your fingernails?
Nope. Filed them last night – got too long to type – and put a clear coat on. Still clean.
 25. Have you ever been to a Six Flags theme park

Yes. Hell existed in Houston, Texas.
 26. Do you like the smell of cigarette smoke?
Not even when I was a smoker. I can’t imagine there’s a whole lot of people who do… no smoke scented Glade Plug-Ins.
 27. How long did you go out with your last bf/gf?
I’ve been with Grant since September 2005.
 28. When was the last time you went to a concert?
At the Houston Rodeo a few years back…
 29. Do you like mud squishing between your toes?
Not as much as I like washing it off.
 30. How many toothbrushes do you own?
Three. One in the shower (saves time), one for soft brushes – morning, and one for vigorous brushing – night. 🙂
 31. Does it bother you when fingernails scrape a chalkboard?
Not really. Fingernails on keyboards bother me more.
 32. Do you like almonds or cashews the best?
 Ah, nuts. Not my thing.
 33. Have you gone on many blind dates?
Does meeting random strangers in bars count?
 34. Do you think same-sex marriage should be legal?
Yes. Separate church and state and there isn’t a reason it shouldn’t be legal. Religion has no place in governing a melting pot of cultures.
 35. Do you know which signs in the zodiac you are compatible with?
I know which husband I’m compatible with… the rest doesn’t matter.
 36. Do you like your nose?
Um… sure. I like my toes just as much though.
 37. Do you listen to music daily?
Live by it.
 38. Do you sleep more on your back, front, or sides?
I don’t know for sure, but my hand or elbow often winds up in the corner of the fitted sheet in the morning so I must be doing something wrong.
 39. Did you drink anything with caffeine in it today?
Yes. I have a left over Mountain Dew I’m nursing. It’s the only thing keeping the tranquilizers from winning.
 40. Do you know someone who would do just about anything for you?
Three people… and there is no ‘just about’ about it. And I’d do anything for them.
