Colour Me In
Played hackey sack last night with Brent at the local university, neither of us have played in about 6 years but in our minds we’re still hackey sack players. Two skateboarders passed us by and Brent said "Why do we always end up doing things on the absolute fringe. If we picked skating we’d be fulfilled and wouldn’t need to wait years between events."
No one wanted to play hackey with us, there was a music venue on but no one approached us to play. Two person Hackey, when both of us are poor players makes it very difficult.
I was reading a paper put out by Penn State that argues you can prove that the early universe is chaotic using mathematics. What’s intriguing I found is when you apply it with other theories, such as the Big Bounce, which is my current position, Big Bounce theory states, in very simplistic terms, that the universe expands and contracts the point of contraction results in a point of absolute density which then explodes recreating the universe. So this theory does include a Big Bang but that there have been numerous instances of it, this is just the ‘current’ incarnation.
A few interesting things come together on a larger scale when using this model and other models, there is a theory that posits that physical laws do not necessarily translate through the Big Bounce, which would go some length to explaining why things behave so differently at a Quantum level as compared to a ‘macro’ (I suppose) level. However the bit that I really like is that if chaos is provable then every time the universe is created after the Big Bounce things do not progress again in an identical matter, so we can say with confidence that we really are unique, unique to this universe, this incarnation, we didn’t occur in any previous universes and we won’t in any future ones.
