Yay for Piercings!

I got my cartilage piercing!! I picked hubby up at work and we went to dinner. There is this little place in Hartford that has the best Brick Oven pizza. It’s a bitch to get to though so we only go once in a great while. After that we headed over to the piercing studio. I went in, told the girl behind the counter what I wanted. As I was filling out the form the piercer, who had been hanging around behind the counter, came over and looked at my ear, then went upstairs to set-up. After I paid I went up. I was nervous as hell, I always am for whatever reason. Anyway, she marked my ear, she had to do it lower than I wanted, because of the way my ear is shaped she thought it’d sit funny where I wanted it. Where she marked was my second choice of location so I told her to go ahead. She had me lay back and do the whole deep breath thing. Then it was all over.

Even thought it wasn’t bad it was definitely the most painful piercing so far. It hurt more than my nose or my eyebrow. It didn’t hurt bad really but you could feel the sharpness of the needle. I could feel the needle more there than I could the other two places. However, it didn’t make me dizzy like my eyebrow did. I bled a lot after the eyebrow and got really dizzy. After my eyebrow I had to go straight over to the gas station and get a bottle of water to drink. I love the way it looks! I don’t have a picture yet. Hubby will have the camera out tomorrow when we go to the concert so I’ll have him take some pictures of my piercing then.

We also saw hubbys grandpa in the hospital. He seems better and will probably be out in four days. He’s anxious to get out of there. 🙂 We’ll be going back to see him again on Sunday.
