Work and Game Stuff to Bore you. :)

Well, I opted not to go in to work today. When hubby woke me up I said “This sucks, I have nothing to do at work.” and he said “Are you staying home?” *lightbulb goes on in my head* “Yeah, I think so”, I replied.

I sent an e-mail to my boss, who is on vacation but checking her mail, explaining that I had no work to do so I would be staying home unless something came up. She never responded, typical of her, but I later received an e-mail I was copied in on that was addressed to my co-worker. In that e-mail my boss inquired as to whether or not we’ve played around with CMS. Ugh, I forgot about “playing around” with CMS. I for one, don’t NEED to play around with CMS, it’s a fucking tool for creating HTML, whoop de fucking do. It’s basically a glorified version of MS Frontpage which I refuse to use. I write my html code myself in Notepad so fuck CMS, I went to the stupid “how to use CMS session” and it was boring. If you can use Microsoft word you can make a webpage in CMS. I honestly tried to “play around” with it but when I did I thought to myself “Why am I doing this?” and proceeded on to bigger and better things.

I finally got my copies of NWN that were supposed to Arrive on June 18th. Go Amazon.com!! Now I have to send them back because I got fed up and went and bought it at the mall. Hubby and I are more than halfway through the game and honestly, I’m dissapointed. The game has potential, it has a good plot. The puzzles in are retarded. The plot, although good, is predictable. Certain areas in the game aren’t intuitive at all and leave you fighting impossible enemies by yourself when all you have to do is so something else and you’ll have help. It’s impossible to know that you’re supposed to do that something else though. For instance (SPOILER WARNING FOR NWN SOU PLAYERS) at one point there’s a book you go in to and fight things, when you come out you’ve collected a pen and ink which you can use to write in a blank book. When you write in that blank book you can enter it and there’s this really super hard enemy. Well, what you’re SUPPOSED to do is turn right back around to the OTHER book and re-write it’s ending. Then go BACK into it and help 2 people who will help you kill the super hard enemy. When you come back out THEN you go into the book you wrote with the super hard enemy and the people you helped from the other book will kick it’s ass. But really, who turns around and clicks right back onto a book that they just come out of? You think you’re finished with it. Especially when you’ve acquired a pen and ink and there’s a blank book right next to it??! (END SPOILER)

Anyway, that’s that. Shadows of Undrentide will never be able to compare to the original Neverwinter Nights campaign. They’re coming out with one more expansion pack in November while I’ll try out. If it sucks that’s the last expansion I’m going to buy.

*yawn* Well, I was just here to write while hubby was outside and he’s in now so I’m going to go see what he’s up to.
