Weekend Ramblings

The weekend has come and gone yet again. I’m not at work today, I’m sick, but at least I got through the weekend before getting sick right? 🙂

Saturday we went out to lunch and did a tiny bit of shopping, we ended up getting a microphone, headphones, an 18 dollar 5×8 rug and 2 poster frames. Sunday we attended the family lunch thing, fun fun. We went to this expensive place that had a very pitiful selection of foods. It was a buffet and the buffet consisted of mostly salad and only one type of salad dressing, luckily it was one I liked as I’m very particular about my dressings. You also got your choice of meat, chicken, fish or sausage, and macaroni and cheese or some weird potato’s. So my lunch consisted of Salad, macaroni and cheese and chicken. I was pretty content but my husband didn’t find much he wanted to put on his plate.

Sunday afternoon we used the cheap microphone and headphone’s 2 create, ta-da, a CD of me playing my flute with my background piano cd’s accompanying me. Turned out very nice except that every single song has a least one missed note. 🙂 Hey, missed notes authenticate it right? Not a professional, not a trick, it’s really just lil ole me. We had set out to make a cassette tape but after trying that and discovering that it sounded like shit hubby whipped out his laptop computer, downloaded a good wav recorder and we were on our way. I’m really happy, I’m mailing a copy of the cd out to my mom and my dad tomorrow. I’ll send one to Ahren’s mom too as she’s been wanting to hear me play.

So that’s about it. I’m going to go make the song list for my cd and get my sick ass back to bed. I might toss a couple of the wav. files up on the internet or something eventually.
